Silverwood

Have you ever been to Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, Idaho? Silverwood is a theme park but it also has water related activities. This big attraction has over 70 rides, slides, shows and attractions. Silverwood opened June 20, 1988. Did you know that Garfield and Odie are the mascots of the park? Silverwood has so many rides and slides that the whole park is 216 acres. If you have little kids they can also have a blast with the kiddie rides.

Every year Silverwood puts on an event called Scarywood, which is held during the month of October. Scarywood was first held in October of 2009. This event holds five haunted attractions, seven scare zones and your favorite Silverwood rides in the dark. The prices are anywhere between $26 and $49 depending on the day and time. It also depends on if you order online or at the gate. I’ve heard that Scarywood is scary enough to knock your socks off!

Silverwood park tickets in the summer range from $48 to $51 for ages 8-64. In the fall tickets are $38 for ages 8-64 and in the spring tickets are $19.88 to $38 for ages 8-64. If you order tickets online the tickets are going to be cheaper than they would if you bought them at the gate.

If you don’t have a hotel to stay at, no worries, there is an RV park and a camping site walking distance from Silverwood. The RV park features one hundred and twenty six full hook ups and forty one camping sites. This park is open from May 7th through October 31st. When camping here you even get a discount on admission tickets!  Your stay also comes with free wifi, a picnic table and fire ring at each site, laundry facilities, a play structure and a volleyball court. Sounds pretty sweet to me!

I’ve been to Silverwood twice and I had a phenomenal time there. It is probably the closest thing to Disneyland that you can get! Silverwood is an incredible place to go and I definitely recommend going there!Image result for silverwood theme park
